There is no greater emotional minefield for young people than sex and relationships.

Your students have never seen an educational program about sexual health that goes where Cindy Pierce goes. She has an uncanny ability to engage young men and women to reconsider the drunken hook-up culture, the impact of internet porn, and what they thought they knew about sex.  Cindy uses a dynamic and humorous approach to deliver her message about healthy choices, safe sex, and body image.

[Cindy] answered questions that no one wants to ask but everyone wants to know. She made it comfortable to talk about sex and educated the whole class...Awesome. Awesome. Awesome.

Cindy’s message is what everyone on a college campus right now needs to hear. Her humorous approach allows for open and frank dialogue on what’s really going on out there in the world of university hook-ups, one-night stands and Facebook sex.

Cindy was amazing and she was so flexible and independent; and that comes in handy when you are dealing with a program that can be controversial in some places.

Ringing the Doorbell: Saner, Healthier Sex in College

In this hilarious keynote, Cindy uses anecdotes and her social research to demystify sex and relationships in college.  With unfiltered honesty, she addresses things like how media and internet porn skew expectations for men and women, particularly around female pleasure.  Cindy’s stories encourage students to look more closely at the role of alcohol and decision-making and how excessive consumption actually undermines social and sexual comfort.

Students walk away with safer and more realistic expectations around sex. Whether she’s talking to a group of women struggling with perceived sexual norms, or playing to a room packed with rowdy football players (which she has done and had a blast doing), Cindy is shaking people out of their comfort zones.

The language in this keynote (or workshop) is frank and unfiltered. Although we wish everyone would listen to Cindy and take her lessons to heart, we don’t recommend this program for mandatory events or for audiences where people under 17 are present.

Note from the speaker:

A big part of my message is the power of a healthy tribe—trusted role models, siblings and friends with whom we can ask anything and get reliable information. Not enough of young people have that. My honest, open approach, combined with my absolute comfort with myself, is both disarming and inspiring for audience members. I create a safe environment where students can ask the most frank questions without feeling stupid or judged. I’m about lifting the weight of embarrassment off people’s shoulders. By sharing facts and anecdotes, I dispel myths that have been passed along and reinforced through generations.
